Altered Notebooks

A colleague asked me to design some graduation gifts for some of her seniors. Here are the coordinating notebooks and cards I made for these graduating young ladies and young men.

For the ladies,
...using a beautiful set of designer series paper called Spring Silhouettes.

With a close-up on the detail. You'll see rhinestone brads and ribbon:

Here's the matching card:

Each one is unique, just like the students she gave them to.

For the men,
...using earth elements card stock and one of only a few stamps that I'd consider masculine.
Instead of satin ribbon and rhinestones, you'll see vintage brads, twill, and hemp.
The cards are right on top of the notebooks.

Here's a close-up of the orange [really rust] notebook without the card.

I hope you enjoy these.

Sympathy Cards

A merchant at church requested to buy some hand-made, sympathy cards. So these are some designs I came up with.
The one I like best is the first. I made a pack of eight cards, mostly modeled after the first one.

Then, another business manager saw the cards and also requested a pack. Thanks God!

If you're interested in a pack of cards, (not the playing kind) let me know.
Themes:
Birthday
Congratulations
Get Well
Sympathy
Thank you
Thinking of you
...

(For those who are interested the card stock is very vanilla, old olive, and elegant eggplant. The stamp sets are: Close as a Memory and Baroque Motifs [I used the swirl as a background pattern on the eggplant cs]. I used elegant eggplant and old olive classic stampin' pads [big surprise!], elegant eggplant narrow grosgrain ribbon, vintage brads, vellum, a sponge, and blender pens.)

Pictures of those so-called "Upcoming Projects"

When I said upcoming, I meant that I had made them, and intended to post them soon. Nearly two months later... I don't think that qualifies as "soon." I have the intentions, but not the follow-through to post on a regular basis. Besides, important things in life should be more of a priority than daily posting.

Here's the front of a notebook I altered using close to cocoa and very vanilla card stock, one of my favorite stamp sets: baroque motifs, chocolate chip ribbon (which is deliciously fun to use) , vintage brads, and the corner rounder punch. The ink is close to cocoa, chocolate chip, and purely pomegranate.

Here's the back using berry bliss DSP and more chocolate chip ribbon. I stamped the front to match the designer series paper.
