Stamp Camp

Stamp Camp: Elegant Cards & Decorated Tin!
On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6th, Angela and I will be hosting a Stamp Camp in Lebanon, CT.
There are two sessions to choose from:
1:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00.

(THE EVENT DATE CHANGED:
from Saturday August 9, to
Wednesday, August 6.)

Come make a dozen elegant cards using the stamp set Carte Postale*, Designer Series Paper Le Jardin*, wide grosgrain and taffeta ribbon, brads, and other embellishments. You'll make three each of four designs.
Here's the lovely tin you'll decorate to hold all your cards. This makes a great gift, if you can bear to give it away!

Here are close up views of the cards you'll make at stamp camp:

You may personalize each card for any occasion you choose (Thank you, Birthday, Get well, Thinking of you, Sympathy, etc.).

Please bring your own adhesive

(SNAIL, glue-stick, or sticky strip).

Light refreshments are provided.

This is a great event to attend with a friend.

We have many prizes to give away at camp!

Elegant Binder Clips

Here is a 20 minute project:
I dolled up some binder clips with Spring Silhouettes DSP. I used mod podge to adhere and seal the paper to the clips.
I made a matching card with no stamping that was so easy to make.
It's a card that took less than a minute that uses Very Vanilla card stock, Spring Silhouettes DSP, Cherished Memories rub-ons, ribbon, and adhesive.
Together, they made a sweet little, personalized gift for someone who loves special office supplies. For classy presentation, I put them in a little French jelly jar .
When the new catalog comes out on August 11th we'll find out if this DSP is retiring. I really like it, and hope that it stays in the new catalog, but I doubt that it will. If you would like to order some before it goes away, contact me directly or through my Stampin' Up! site link.

Altered Notebooks

A colleague asked me to design some graduation gifts for some of her seniors. Here are the coordinating notebooks and cards I made for these graduating young ladies and young men.

For the ladies,
...using a beautiful set of designer series paper called Spring Silhouettes.

With a close-up on the detail. You'll see rhinestone brads and ribbon:

Here's the matching card:

Each one is unique, just like the students she gave them to.

For the men,
...using earth elements card stock and one of only a few stamps that I'd consider masculine.
Instead of satin ribbon and rhinestones, you'll see vintage brads, twill, and hemp.
The cards are right on top of the notebooks.

Here's a close-up of the orange [really rust] notebook without the card.

I hope you enjoy these.

Sympathy Cards

A merchant at church requested to buy some hand-made, sympathy cards. So these are some designs I came up with.
The one I like best is the first. I made a pack of eight cards, mostly modeled after the first one.

Then, another business manager saw the cards and also requested a pack. Thanks God!

If you're interested in a pack of cards, (not the playing kind) let me know.
Themes:
Birthday
Congratulations
Get Well
Sympathy
Thank you
Thinking of you
...

(For those who are interested the card stock is very vanilla, old olive, and elegant eggplant. The stamp sets are: Close as a Memory and Baroque Motifs [I used the swirl as a background pattern on the eggplant cs]. I used elegant eggplant and old olive classic stampin' pads [big surprise!], elegant eggplant narrow grosgrain ribbon, vintage brads, vellum, a sponge, and blender pens.)
